Portfolio / Site and operation
Moving means handing your life to a truck.
AD United Relocation moves homes and offices across the United States and beyond it. The problem in this category is not price: it is that the customer hands over everything they own and then loses sight of it. We built the site that puts that promise in order — five services, quoting by origin and destination, licence in plain view — and the layer that carries it afterwards: an inventory of what was packed and the state of every leg.

01The brief
The estimate arrived whenever it could.
In moving, the sale is won or lost in the first few hours: someone asking for three quotes hires whoever comes back first with a credible number. That used to depend on somebody returning the call, taking the details by hand and building the estimate when there was time.
And after signing, the other problem began: the customer handed over an entire house in boxes and lost the thread. What was packed, what is missing, where the truck is. The brief was to build the site that answers fast at the start, and the layer that keeps people calm through the rest.
What the person moving asks
- 01What it costs, from my ZIP to theirs
- 02What's included and what's extra
- 03Whether they pack or I do
- 04Where the overflow is stored
- 05What exactly went on the truck
- 06When it arrives and how I check it
Our role
Design and build of the whole site, the architecture of the five services, the copy, a quote form built around what actually decides an estimate, and the inventory and tracking layer that orders the operation after signature.
02Architecture
Quote, pack and track.
A move is three separate moments, and each needs something different from the site. The structure splits them instead of cramming them into one contact form.
Origin, destination, nothing else.
The form asks for what actually moves the price — origin ZIP, destination ZIP and how to reach you — instead of a twenty-field questionnaire nobody finishes. Less friction, more complete quotes arriving.
What goes on the truck gets written down.
The inventory records every box and every piece of furniture with its category, label and state. It is the document that later lets delivery be checked item by item instead of argued from memory.
Know where it is without calling.
Every shipment moves through states — packed, in transit, delivered — and the customer sees them. «Where is my move?» stops being the office's main job.
03The idea
What this site had to settle.
In a move, the anxiety isn't calmed by a price. It's calmed by an inventory.
Everyone compares estimates, but what removes the fear is something else: knowing a list exists of what they took, and that the list can be checked when the truck opens its doors on the other side of the country.
So the project did not end at the home page. The fast quote wins the customer; the inventory and the shipment state are what stop them calling fifteen times — and what make them recommend the company once they finish unpacking.

Pick the service
Local, long distance, international, packing or storage. Each has a page of its own, because someone moving across town and someone moving across borders are not asking the same question.
- 02
Ask for the estimate
A short form: name, phone, email and the two ZIP codes. It is the minimum a moving company needs to give a serious number.
- 03
Get the number
The team replies with the detailed estimate: services included, extras and available dates. The speed of that reply is half the sale.
- 04
Book the date
Once the quote is accepted, the move enters the calendar with its crew and vehicle assigned.
- 05
Build the inventory
What was packed gets recorded: category, quantity, label and notes. Every box is identified before it goes on the truck.
- 06
The truck leaves
The shipment changes state and the customer sees it: packed, in transit, out for delivery. Nobody has to call to ask where it is.
- 07
Delivery checked
At destination, the inventory is the checklist: what arrived is confirmed item by item. What was missing stops being one memory against another.
- 08
Close the file
Documents, invoice and final state stay attached to the move, ready for a claim, a warranty, or the next time.
Five services · two ZIP codes · one inventory that adds up
05Trust
What a mover has to prove.
In an industry full of bad stories, the site has to answer the three uncomfortable questions before anyone asks them.
The licence, in plain view.
The DOT number sits in the footer of every page. For a US carrier, that number is the first thing an informed customer checks — and hiding it looks like something to hide.
Local, interstate and international.
All three are explained separately, with packing and storage as services in their own right. Nobody has to guess whether the company crosses state lines or borders.
Pack, move, enjoy.
The process is told in three steps with no logistics jargon. It is the promise that someone coordinates end to end and the customer does not have to assemble the operation themselves.

The site that sells and the operation that delivers.

The promise in one line and two immediate paths: request the estimate or call. In moving, whoever answers first keeps the customer.
| Item | State | Category | Label |
|---|---|---|---|
| Box 014 · dishes | In transit | Kitchen | Fragile · loads on top |
| Three-seat sofa | In transit | Living room | Wrapped · blanket and film |
| Box 027 · documents | Packed | Office | Sealed · do not stack |
| Bicycle | Pending | Garage | Collected Wednesday |
| Box 031 · books | Delivered | Study | Went ahead on the first run |
Of the inventory's sixty-two items, fifty-four left on the 08:20 truck and eight remain for Wednesday's second run. Verification at destination runs against this same list.
A reconstruction of the layer that orders the move after signature: what was packed, what state each shipment is in, and what remains to be checked at destination. The boxes and counts are invented: a real inventory belongs to the person moving.

Local, long distance and international explained separately, plus packing and storage. Each reach has its own page and its own question.

Name, phone, email and the two ZIP codes: the minimum for a serious number, without the twenty-field questionnaire nobody finishes.

The company told with its own people and its own trucks, which in this category is worth more than any adjective.

The estimate gets requested from a phone, often with the house already half packed: the button lives on the first screen.
10The outcome
A move you can check.
The site does what its category requires: it explains the five services, shows the licence, tells the process without jargon, and puts the quote two clicks away with only the fields that matter. On the other side, the operation stops living in phone calls: what was packed is written down, the shipment has a state, and delivery is checked against a list.
That is what changes the business. Speed of reply wins the quote; the inventory and the tracking are what prevent the claim, cut the calls to the office, and get the company recommended once the boxes are unpacked.

About what is shown
The site screenshots are real. The inventory is not: one move's list is the detailed contents of a person's home. The mock reconstructs the structure with invented boxes and counts, which is what can be published without exposing anyone.
More work
When the customer hands over everything they own, what you sell is control.
In moving, storage, repairs — anywhere the customer lets go of something of theirs — the difference is not price but being able to show them the state of their things without them having to call. That is a system, and it gets built on the site you already have.
